Today we finally got our master bedroom furniture! It is great not to be sleeping with our mattress on the floor! As soon as I get everything organized I will snap a photo! It should not take me long to organized I just get tired while doing so. We also got our glider rocker yesterday for the nursery and David put it together today. Hopefully I can be done with the nursery this coming week! I still have to get some things to finish decorating.
Pregnancy is going well. My belly grows everyday and Matthew moves like he is playing some sort of sport inside. Today I saw something, don't know if it was a foot or a hand but it moved across my belly and you could see it!! It was neat. It's still amazing to me that God has placed a life inside of me. It's really one of those "wow" moments for me.
As for the yucky stuff of pregnancy.. the heartburn is killer.. I hate it! And right now as I look at my feet I am amazed that they have somewhat grown into these swollen things.. I get leg cramps at night (which is fun for David!!)... my back is hurting most of the time and it feels like like I am a rotisserie chicken.. I mean I lotion the belly and then I rotate through the night from side to side. I mean really its not like I sleep.. its more like taking long naps with lots of rotating and lots of bathroom breaks! When I do finally find the right spot to sleep the alarm goes off and its time to get up and get ready for work.. yuck. I am so ready for that to be over! I look forward to weekends and day offs!
Well there is an update on life so far! I will post some pics of the master and nursery room very soon!

5th Doctor's Appointment...
Well today I had my 5th doctor's appointment. They tested my glucose so I had to drink this lovely cocktail that tasted somewhat like a fizzy kool-aid. Not bad but I could not drink or eat anything after that. I had my blood drawn one of my least favorite things and met another one of the doctor's in the practice. She was very nice. She measured my belly and I got to hear Matthew's (that's our baby's name!.. Matthew Gianni!) heartbeat. He is very active even the doctor said so. She did tell me to take Pepcid for my horrible heartburn. I woke up last night at 3am and I thought I was going to have a heart attack that is how bad my chest hurt. I started crying and was just so extremely tired finally it felt better and I fell asleep. SO in order not to have another horrible night like that the doctor suggested I take Pepcid before going to bed and before going to work. So we will see how tonight goes.
As for work things are going pretty good. Although I am ready for the transfer period which happens in March. I cannot wait to get back into Kindergarten. I miss it very much. So I am praying that there is a position open close by! Keep me in your prayers!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Wow I cannot believe that 2009 is upon us already! Its amazing how quickly the year went by and how many wonderful blessings God showered upon our lives. A small recap for David and I this year: We bought a house, experienced our house being built, got a beautiful dog (Sadie),got pregnant!! (yay we are expecting in May!!), moved into our new house, David received a promotion at work and finished his class, I unfortunately moved to first grade (but I am surviving), and we found out we are having a boy which we are naming Matthew Gianni (which means God's gift, calm believer in God's grace.. which he truly is a gift from God to us!). So there it is a very small recap on the amazing things God has been up to in our lives.
This Christmas was wonderful.. our first Christmas in our house. David and I spent it here in warm sunny Florida. Its crazy when the day of Christmas we are wearing shorts, t-shirts and tanktops while the rest of our family spent it bundled up in the snow! We did have a good morning opening presents and eating our Christmas breakfast of biscuits and gravy (yum!). We cleaned our house (really a three day job we accomplished in a few hours) and got ready for my mom and brother to spend the day with us. It was wonderful we ate lunch which mom and I cooked. She brought the sides and I actually baked a ham... yes my first ham ever and I must say it turned out pretty good! We opened presents from mom. Yes she is very excited about being a grandma because Christmas was all about Matthew. David and I got some stuff but the majority was for the baby.
Our New Year's was pretty quiet, we stayed home. David had to work so that was stinky. By the time he came home I was already in my PJ's. After a delicious pizza dinner, he played some of his new Playstation games and then fell asleep. Yes my hubby who loves to stay up late actually fell asleep before the New Year came. At 11:30 pm he was completely knocked out so me and Matthew welcomed 2009 by ourselves reading a book.. ( I know very exciting life we lead!)
New Year's Day we spent painting the nursery! All we have to do now is pick up our furniture which will be sometime this week! (Photos of this will be posted at a later time) We also hung out with our friends Pete and Melissa. They have a beautiful baby girl so it was kind of neat hanging out with them and seeing what life would be for us in just a few months. I also got to play Wii for the first time and that was pretty neat. I think I want one of those for my birthday!
On Monday I start work again and I am not really looking forward to it. I like staying home and doing things around here. But the reality of it all is that we need to work. Good thing the kids will not be there on Monday so at least I get some time to clean up and get things settled before they arrive. We will see how things go this next half of the year.
Until then enjoy the photos of our Christmas!

3rd Doctor's Appointment...
Well today I had my third doctor's appointment. Everything was smooth and went pretty quick!I have not gained any weight but the doctor is not worried about it, he said to eat just like I have been. He said everything looks good and the baby's heartbeat sounds nice and strong. My throat started getting scratchy last night so when he checked it and did a culture I have strep throat, so I had to get some antibiotics. The next appointment will be the one that we hopefully find out what Baby Deffenbaugh will be!!! That will take place on December 10th at 3pm!!! This is so exciting we cant wait. I am dying to go shopping!!! This will be a great Christmas! Well here are a few photos of my growing belly...

The House...
Okay some people have been asking about photos of the house and although I am ultra crazy tired and sick most of the time (thanks to the wonderful baby growing inside!) I actually somewhat cleaned my living room and took some photos of it. This is the only room that is somewhat fully furnished and painted. I still have to purchase nesting tables for in between the couch and the oversized chair. I already know which ones I want is just a matter of fitting them into the budget and also a mount for the television so it can hang on the wall! The other rooms will take a bit more time now that David's schedule will change due to the upcoming holidays! Longer hours and less days off is what awaits him. Yay for both of us!
