2009 will come to an end in a few hours so I would like to take a moment and reflect on the past year and what a great year it has been. So here is what we have been up to...
* David ~ This year David became a dad, and although he doesn't realize it he is a great dad to Matthew. He also got the job as an Assistant Manager at his store and has applied for an Assistant Manager position at another store. We are praying that God will continue to guide his steps regarding his job. We are very thankful that in this crazy economy we have jobs to go to.
* Matthew - is now 7 months old! Everyday he gets more active and more vocal. He is crawling all over the place. It is hard to keep up with him. He is also pulling himself up much quicker. We think that he will be walking sooner than later. Just 2 weeks ago he started cutting his first bottom tooth. It has not been that fun but this too shall pass. We can't believe how fast he is growing. We love him very much and pray that he will be a great man of God as he grows up.
* Sadie - well she is a big scaredy cat.. but she still loves to get in trouble at times. She goes after Matthew's toys and loves to give him sloppy kisses. She loves to cuddle in bed with me when David is not in it.
* Kelly - As for me this past year has definitely been one of change. Matthew arrived in May and what a beautiful twist he brought into our lives. I returned back to work with the grade I love in the school I started as an assistant. Although I love Kindergarten but I still miss Matthew when I am away. We are so blessed to have him in a good home while we are both at work. I look forward to school breaks so I can spend time with him and David.
Overall it was a great year. We got to experience parenthood for the first time, we experienced our first flight with Matthew and saw David's family for Thanksgiving, we had a wonderful Christmas and now a New Year awaits us. We can't wait for the many blessings God has in store for us as a family and for us individually.
May God's Blessing Surround You this upcoming New Year!

7 months old..
Here is an update on us...
Our little boy is 7 months old today.. gosh time seems like its flying! He is getting so big. Last time he was at the doctor he weighed 17lbs. He likes to move around like crazy... we put him down on the living floor and before you know it he is in the kitchen. It has been interesting putting the Christmas tree up. He wants to get into everything and pull things down. David and I are going to invest in a gate to go around the tree for both Matthew and Sadie to stay out!
David is finally doing well, he is getting over a sinus and ear infection he got right as we got home from Thanksgiving Break. He had an interview today for an Assistant Manager position at the Wesley Chapel store which is actually closer to home. So we are praying that God will open the door if that is His will.
Me, well Thanksgiving Break was wonderful! I loved having the whole week off! Now I am awaiting the Christmas Break. School is good. The kiddos are doing pretty good. It is now testing time so I have been busy testing all my students and checking to see where they are at. Hopefully they will all make it.
I can't believe its almost Christmas.. I can't wait. This is definitely my favorite holiday! Thanksgiving is my favorite food holiday but Christmas.. Ahh.. I love everything about it.. decorating, the music.. the wonderful cookies I should not be eating so I don't gain weight!! Anyways.. I just saw the time and the battery life on the laptop and its time for me to head to bed. So good night all! I will post photos of Matthew sometime this weekend!

Happy Halloween!
Today we experienced Matthew's First Halloween! David unfortunately had to work so Matthew and I headed to my mom's church for their "Heroes Unmasked" Fall Festival. It was fun but very hot! Again.. I am not understanding where in the world did the fall season go for Florida. As much as I like the heat, I do miss the change of season when the trees turn from green to a bright orange or red.. well here its all green and still feels like summer. My poor baby looked adorable in his costume but he was SO hot. He only lasted maybe half hour with it on and then I changed him! I know he will never remember his first Halloween but I will and I think it was a great one! He looked so cute and did very well despite the heat. He did not fuss or cry, he just kept staring at everything around him! I will post photos tomorrow I just wanted to blog before October is over! I can't believe we are heading into November.. before we know it, it will be Christmas! Yikes.. Well it has been a busy day and I am exhausted so off to bed I go! Look for photos sometime tomorrow!

The Doctor..
Well I have been cleared to return to work. The doctor said everything looked good. There will be some pain for a few more weeks so he said to take Tylenol. He also said my appetite will be returning in a few weeks. Hopefully everything will be fine with my stomach from now on. So I return to work tomorrow. I am happy and yet sad. Although I have been in pain I have enjoyed spending my days being with Matthew and getting to play with him. As much as I love teaching I am looking at some other options for work, for next year. So I have been praying and will continue praying about that.. in the meantime I will return to work tomorrow and hopefully enjoy every minute of it! Hopefully the substitute didn't leave a mess this time.. the last sub that was in my classroom not only left a HUGE mess on my desk but she also ate my personal snacks!! HOW RUDE.. who does that??? Anywho I am hoping I see a better outcome tomorrow.. in other great news the weather here has finally turned into fall! Okay so it may not be as cool as the northern regions of our country but its great weather for Florida!

Ups and Downs...
Well it has been a very busy month! First things first.. Matthew is 4 months old almost 5. I can't believe it! He is growing so fast. He is now 16lbs! He has learned how to turn over so slowly he has become mobile. He doesn't crawl but he scoots his body like a little worm to move around! The UPS guy just delivered his Halloween costume.. not that he is going trick o treating but I am pretty sure we are taking him to my mom's church for their fall festival/hallelujah night thing they have! He will be so cute!
David is doing well. He went to 2 interviews this past week for Assistant Manager. We will see what happens. We are praying that God opens the right door for him!
Unfortunately we have had some downs.. just when I thought my stomach issues were over they weren't. Last Sunday night I went to bed great and then in a matter of minutes my stomach starting hurting and it would not go away. I could not even lay on my back or walk straight. I had to go back to the emergency room and they kept me waiting until David asked for the nurse to give me some painkillers. Once they did I felt better because I couldn't feel anything but after the catscan they saw that my gallbladder was inflamed so they decided to do surgery to remove it. They did that afternoon and now I am one less body part.
I missed school for a whole week and I tried going back on Monday but it just didn't work out so they sent me home. The principal said to stay home until I saw the doctor on Wednesday. So we will see what he says. I am looking forward to feeling better and not visiting the hospital again until my next child is born!(it will be awhile!)
Well I should get going but I hope to post again soon!

Catching Up...
It has been a while since I have blogged. Life has just been crazy busy! School has finally started for me and I am so EXHAUSTED! I have 21 kindergartners (YIKES!) WE are all hoping and praying that the county will provide us with a new teacher so we can have smaller classes like we are supposed to. So we will see. David, Matthew and I have somewhat got adjusted to our routine in the mornings. I get up at 4:50 am (unless I start snoozing!) and start getting ready, I get Matthew's diaper bag and morning bottle ready for David to feed him at 6am. I make sure that diaper bag is by the door so David doesn't forget when he takes Matthew to Leah's (which is Matthew's childcare). He forgot to take the bag yesterday and had to come back home to get it! The days that David is off Matthew stays with him. It's funny that once Matthew is up in the morning for his first feeding he will not go back to sleep for David but he will for me! He knows Daddy will be play with him and Mommy needs more sleep! Today he actually slept in which was wonderful since both David and I were exhausted!
Matthew is doing great! I can't believe this coming week he will be 4 months old. Time does go by fast. He is getting so big! He is getting really close to rolling over. He gets half way and then rolls back instead! He loves being on his tummy and has great neck control! He laughs and reaches for things. And he is extremely wiggly and squirmy when you try to change his diaper! Overall he is great baby. Not very fussy unless he is hungry or tired. We are just amazed at how big he is and how fast time has gone by!

Vacation and ER
This past week we went on vacation to Georgia to visit Heather and her family. It was the first time that they would meet Matthew and Matthew would meet all of them. It was also the first time David and I would meet our niece Isabella. We had a wonderful time! It was great to see all the cousins together. Isabella is adorable with her big blue eyes and Ramsey Michael was full of questions! He is a very smart little boy! Matthew seemed to enjoy it all! He did really good on the drive up there and back. He even did great at the hotel.. which I was worried about thinking he would get fussy but he didn't! He even had his first time in the pool! It was great. We lathered him up really good with sunscreen and he had his onesie, hat and borrowed swimming trunks from Ramsey Michael. He looked so cute and seemed to really like it! He did grow tired of it once he got hungry so he ate and took a nap! WE took some photos of the cousins together so that was good. It was funny trying to get all of them to look at the camera at the same time! Overall we had a a great trip and can't wait to visit again!
On the way home, however, my chest started hurting. We thought it was just gas and it got better once we got home. But around 9pm it started hurting again.. and it just got worse. SO bad that I finally gave in and told David to take me to the hospital. SO he bundled up Matthew and we drove to the ER here in Zephyrhills.. what a disgusting hospital.. needless to say I will not be considering this hospital to have my next baby in.. We will drive across town again to deliver the next one!! Anyways, we got there at around 11:30 and left there at 5:30am.. thank goodness Matthew slept through the whole thing.. except when he woke up to change the diaper but other than that he was sleeping. As for me they gave me an EKG and the heart is fine. They took blood and that was fine... they did a chest X-ray and they found that the lining of my lung is inflamed... usually a bacteria, pneumonia or a virus can cause it but I have neither.. so the doctor said that sometime it just happens.. there really is no explanation. But she gave me tons of medicines to take to take the inflammation down and no salt, caffeine or chocolate for the next 3 days. I have to go see the doctor again for a check up so I will be doing that sometime soon. I feel fine now.. it doesn't hurt as much as it did before. I can breathe without hurting so the meds must be working. So there is our vacation and ER story!

So big!
Well Matthew had his 2 month old appointment this past Friday! He did really well considering he got 3 shots one being orally. That one he did not mind so much it was the other two he had an issue with. However he did really well and took it like a champ.. later on he got a bit fussy but he calmed down. He is getting so big. He now weighs 13lbs, and is 25 in long! Big baby! He loves to coo and smile, and he absolutely LOVES to talk to his little animal friends on his swing mobile. Its adorable! As soon as we can get a video I will post it up!
As for the rest of us.. David is doing well, working hard and adjusting to changes since Altell people have moved into the store, me I am starting to get ready for school to start up so I have been making different materials and also I have visited my new classroom which lacks major storage! It also has an ocean theme which I am not too fond of.. but have to live with THIS year... I'll have to be very creative! And Sadie well right now she is snoring away! WE are all looking forward to Thursday when we head out of town and visit Heather and her family in Georgia! It will be fun to see Matthew with his cousins. This will be the first time they all meet! We can't wait! I will be posting photos of our trip when we return!

1st Father's Day
I know I'm a little late in posting good thing June is not over yet so I am not extremely late! David celebrated his 1st Father's Day partly at home and the rest at work! We woke up late for church so we stayed home and opened his gifts. He got a new pair of shorts, shirts, flip flops and a new wallet! Then he went to work. Mattie and I met him at my mom's house after work to see Star Trek which he had been wanting to see for a while! So mom stayed with Mattie and we both went to the movies. We had a good time and he enjoyed the movie very much! When we picked up Matthew he opened Mom's gift to him which was 2 dress shirts and ties. He wanted to wear them the next day but being that I was overly tired from the day's event I went to bed instead and ironed the shirts another day! So overall Father's Day was good but hopefully next year he will have the day off!

1 month old already??
I can't believe our boy is one month old.. it seems like just a few weeks ago we were in the hospital welcoming him into our world. I am posting some photos of Matthew from the past month.. he is getting so big. He is starting to laugh out loud. He likes being on his tummy and playing with daddy. He recognizes people now and follows us with his eyes.. its really neat seeing him grow up. He sits on his swing without crying and likes to be read to. He really likes to be sung to!He still is not sleeping through the night but he is sleeping. He sometimes has 4 hour stretches which I thank GOD for since I get to rest. He is also starting to drink 5 ounces of formula. Today we went to the doctor's for his month appointment and he got his first shots since being out of the hospital. I gotta say he did really good. He cried for a bit and then calmed down. Of course David had to hold him down.. I totally do not do needles and I was already feeling horrible that he had to get hurt. But he was a trooper! Now he is sleeping it all off...hopefully he will sleep tonight!
In other news.. we finally found someone that will take care of him while I am at work.. she is really nice. She keeps 4 other kids and 2 of her own. Matthew will be the youngest one. We feel very comfortable with her so we are very happy that he will not be in daycare.
Summer is finally here and although I haven't been at work since Spring Break I am glad school is done with. I actually went today to get the rest of my stuff. I am finally returning to Kindergarten and I will be going to a different school. Actually I will be returning to the school I started in as an assistant. I am really looking forward to returning. I know things will be different at this school but I guess
I'll get used to it. At least I will be teaching what I love!

Matthew
Here are some photos of Matthew... I can't believe he is almost 4 weeks old.. time does fly by. He is already getting so big. He smiles more now which is neat to watch. Here are some photos we have taken over the past couple of weeks. There are some from his first bath. He did really good. Did not fuss or cry. He seems to really like bath time.
Today we go meet with an in home child care owner to see if she and her home are the right fit for us and Matthew once I start work again. I am looking forward to meeting her and I hope it does work out even though I am not looking forward to leaving him in the fall when I return to work. I will post again and let you all know how it goes today!

Mother's Day and Matthew
Happy Mother's Day to all who read this! I am a mommy! I can't believe it. It seems so surreal at times. We had a good Mother's Day here at home. We did not do too much as I am still trying to come back to life from the events of the past week. I slept in which was great of David. I actually woke him up in the middle of the morning. Matthew was up and I was not feeling so great. So David took over and let me sleep until 11:30ish this morning. It felt great! My mom came over with some family friends and brought us chinese food for lunch! It was yummy. She also helped me clean up a bit around the house since David's mom is coming tomorrow! WE are very excited to see her!
A whole week has passed. It's amazing how time goes so fast. Matthew is a week old today. Last Sunday at this time I was in the hospital waiting to see if he was going to be okay and now he is here among us not letting mommy and daddy sleep too much! What a wonderful blessing to have this little guy in our lives.

May 3rd... Happy Birth Day!
Well Matthew Gianni has finally arrived! Here is the story... On Sunday morning at 12:00 I started having mild contractions. Which when I say mild it was still painful!... They started getting extremely strong and closer together. By 4:30ish we called the doctor and she said as soon as they started getting to 5 minutes apart in an hour then I could head on to the hospital. Well they definitely got stronger.. We headed to the hospital but first we dropped off Sadie at mom's and picked up mom and headed to the hospital. As soon as we got there they asked if I wanted to take the epidural and of course my answer was YES!! I was 3cm dilated when they took me inside the delivery room. Once I got the epidural and it took effect I was up to 4cm. I stayed that way for a while. Dr. Jaeger decided to give me petocin which speeded things up. My cervix was very thin and I started dilating a bit quicker. The baby did not like the contractions so they had to put me on oxygen and an IV of sugar. Eventually everything went back to normal and the baby's hearbeat stabilized once more. Once I was dilated to 9/10 centimeters we started the pushing.. Okay seriously it was one of those type of pains that you will maybe not remember vividly but definitely will not forget. I think the worst part of it all is that you think you are pushing with all your might.. which you are but still it does not seem like enough! But finally after much pushing and Dr. Jaeger coming in and letting me know the only option I had was to either push it out or he would vacuum it out... (and he was very firm so I knew I had to do it) I kept pushing...until Matthew finally came.. granted that it also helped when the Dr. gave me the episiotomy. When that took place Matthew just came out. The umbilical cord was wrapped around him twice but that did not seem to be a problem. Thank God! Matthew was born at 7:46pm. He was born with a fever, but he was precious. The cutest baby ever! I was numb from the episiotomy so David went with the baby as he got weighed and measured. I stayed behind to get my legs back to normal so I could get up by myself. I had to do this in order to get upstairs to our permanent room. David got to see the baby take his first bath! Once I was upstairs Matthew was supposed to come to the room with us but unfortunately he had some fluids in his lungs and his fever had not gone away so they had to keep him in the nursery until today. He came to our room around 5:30 this morning. He was perfectly fine and healthy but the nurse took him back with her so the doctor could check him one more time and do the last of the blood work. They brought him back to our room at around 9:30ish and has been here ever since. He really is a cutie and we love him very much. God has blessed us with a beautiful baby! As he sleeps right now I am amazed at the amazing gift God has bestowed upon us.

May 1st, May 2nd.. No go...
Well Matthew has decided to stall for a bit.. His original due date was may 1st but he decided not to arrive then.. Extremely early this morning I thought my water broke during sleep but it wasn't so. I asked the doctor on call if he still wanted me to come in and he said yes for precaution reasons. We headed to the hospital at around 6ish.. dropped Sadie off at mom's and then headed to the hospital. It was uncomfortable sitting in triage for so many hours. Water is still intact...did not break... and I have not dilated anymore. Dr. Dill decided to keep me longer though due to one of the Braxton Hicks contractions was 6 minutes long and the baby's hearbeat went from super fast to super slow.. so they kept me until 11:30am so they could monitor they baby and me. Everything turned fine.. Matthew is doing great. We have an appointment on Monday and and appointment to induce on Wednesday if he doesn't come sooner. So we will see. We were disappointed and exhausted by the time we left the hospital. WE are very ready to meet our son... if he wasn't so stubborn like his parents and just come out that would be great! LOL!! We will definitely keep you updated...hopefully next time I blog we will have a bundle of joy in the house! And photos to go along with that..

Almost there.. we hope!
We went to the doctor's this past week and so far we are 3 cm dilated.. the baby's head is very low. The doctor doesn't know how I am able to walk. We are hoping that Matthew arrives on or before his due date. If he does not then we are scheduled to be induced next Wednesday. But we are really hoping he comes at his schedule time or today! I am very tired. It is extremely uncomfortable to sleep and I have been getting some false labor contractions.. Matthew likes to stretch and that is pretty uncomfortable. The heartburn is getting worse. My hands are swollen and they hurt. SO I guess you can say that I am very ready, to finally meet our son.
In other news.. I did have an interview yesterday and it went really well. I thoroughly enjoyed the principal and I loved the school. I am really hoping that she will call after the transfer period is over which is on May 15th. So we will see. I will definitely keep you updated and definitely stay tuned for Matthew's arrival!

Appointment and Interview
On my last appointment we met a new doctor.. no changes.. still 1 cm dilated... I have one more appointment to go and then Matthew is supposed to arrive.. we shall see... David begins his vacation time and I already started maternity leave which is wonderful! I love being able to rest and sleep. I know I will not be able to do that once Matthew arrives.
I went on an interview today and I don't think it was anything to brag about... the principal did not seem very interested. She seemed to know who she wanted in that position already.. so I am still putting my resume at different schools and hopefully I can go on some interviews before Matthew arrives.. we shall see!
We will keep you updated on Matthew so stay tuned...

Easter, Appointment and overall Life update!
Easter was a great ending to a wonderful Spring Break! We went to church and then went to mom's for lunch. It was nice and relaxing. We ate tons of food and I was so tired we went home early.
My last appointment was good. The doctor approximated Matthew's weight and she said he was about 7lbs. I am 1 centimeter dilated and Matthew is head down getting ready for delivery. He is moving so much its kind of hard to sleep at night. So I am so tired throughout the day. My next appointment is next Wednesday so we shall see what progress we have made..
Although I am ready for Matthew to come out he needs to wait just a little bit.. The transfer period is at the end of April. It begins April 27th. I have already put my resume in for two schools for Kindergarten positions. So I am hoping something works out. One of the schools already contacted me to set up an interview this coming week. I pray it goes well!

I have already put my resume in for two schools for Kindergarten positions. So I am hoping something works out. One of the schools already contacted me to set up an interview this coming week. I pray it goes well!
Matthew's Nursery
So finally I post photos of the nursery.. its not one hundred percent finished the way I wanted it to be but since I am so exhausted most of the time it is done for now! I am sure once Matthew has made his big arrival I will change some things for example.. the frames on the baby wall.. I do not like them so those will be changed when I find the right ones! And I am still missing a small shelf on the wall which may get put up before Matthew arrives. Above the glider I know what the frame I want up there I just have not gotten yet... So yes it is still a work in progress! Well our nursery is pretty plain. We did not do a "theme" because its just not our thing. So we went we neutral colors. The walls are a light khaki... that way whenever baby #2 comes...he/or she can go right in and all we have to do is add accent colors! So Matthew's colors are brown, blue and light green. His bedding is this color and most of the lettering I have done is this color also. The furniture is cherry wood although in the photos it looks much darker. I don't think the photos look all that great.. I think the room looks better when you are in it! There is a wall with photos of me and David when we were babies and the middle photo will obviously be of Matthew when he is here! His drawers are full of clothes and his closet is very well maintained! He already has a great collection of shoes (just like his mommy!) I LOVE the closet organizer our friends Pete and Melissa got us! It is so great for someone mildly OCD about organization...There is also a dresser in the closet which is holding clothes for his later stages in life. I mean when I see a sale on clothes its kind of hard to resist getting it.. especially when its a great deal and so darn cute!

Baby Shower 2
On Saturday March 28th I had my second baby shower at mom's church (UCOG!). It was a wonderful shower.. I was really exhausted and you could tell in some of the photos. There were lots of good food and great friends. I got lots of great stuff for baby! The car was full of stuff and David was surprised to see so much stuff! Below are some photos of the great event!
The pregnancy is going well. Although I have been getting horrible heartburn again. Yuck! My appointments are weekly now so this week we met with the doctor. She wasn't that great with her bedside manner so I am praying she is not the one that delivers the baby! But when she checked she said I was 80% effaced. Which simply means that the cervix is thinning and shortens out and gets ready for dilation. So maybe on the next appointment she will tell me that dilation has occurred. So we shall see! I will definitely keep you updated!
Spring Break has been great! I am not looking forward to returning to work this coming Monday.. actually I am not even going to think about it.. so this is where I stop this subject.
I do begin my maternity leave on April 22nd so it will be nice to be home before Matthew arrives! Well until the next post...

Baby Shower #1!
On Wednesday I had my first baby shower! It was at school and it was great. Everything looked so pretty and the food was oh so yummy! There were more people there than I ever expected which was great. I got wonderful things for the baby. The nursery is a mess now but hopefully by the end of this weekend it will be somewhat organized! We shall see!
The pregnancy is going well. I have been extremely tired and my feet are hurting really bad. They are swollen and every shoe just feels uncomfortable. But other than that baby is doing great. I have my next appointment on Monday and then every week after that I will be seeing the doctor. So we will see what happens. So far everything seems to be on schedule and we expect delivery on May 1st! David and I are very excited!
Well I must leave now and clean house! Here are some pics of the school shower!

Strep throat + allergies = horrible feeling...
Well I have been sick for the past 5 days.. It is a yucky feeling overall. It started as a mild sore throat that became strep... I missed 3 days of work.. which some would say its great "no work" but I say BOO.. I mean there are alot of things that these kids need to know for the SAT and now I only have 1 week to cram it all in! Yay for me.. also progress alerts a.k.a. report cards are coming out soon so I get to do that this Monday. This will be one heck of a week.. Anyways back to the topic... strep went away sometime Friday evening and then my lovely allergies came. Yes its great living in Florida... the heat, the wonderful beaches and who can forget the magnificient POLLEN!! Yes a threat to all of those people (like me and David) who suffer from allergies. David only has outside allergies while I suffer from both inside and out.. I have been non stop sneezing and my nose is all stopped up. A great feeling at any time.. but when you are pregnant and can't already find a good, comfortable position or way to sleep, being sick is fantastic (notice the sarcasm please). No being sick while preggo is not fun at all.. there aren't many meds you can take and its just uncomfortable. I am hoping this will all go away so I can not only regain my ability to breathe but also to hear. My head feels like its in a cloud far away....
Since I have been sick I have stopped working on the nursery which needs some finishing touches for it to be ready.. Actually everything this week has come to a halt. Cleaning and everything else went out the window once I got sick.. My house looks like a wreck.. at least to me it does, David disagrees.. but what does he know he is a boy.. they like things somewhat messy!
In other news, I had another appointment with the doctor last Tuesday. It went well. She says baby is growing great. Due date has not changed it is still May 1st. She believes the baby is facing down like he is supposed to. We listened to the heartbeat and he is doing great! When I first got to the office did mention that I was cramping through out the day at school and I was cramping right then..so of course I asked if this was normal and she had me lay down. She informed me that I was having some Braxton Hicks contractions.. could not believe it! She said for me to watch it and if it happens 6 or more time within the hour to contact the office. She also scheduled another appointment for tomorrow just to monitor me. Overall she said I needed more rest and to stay off my feet as much as possible. (That would be easy if people did not have to work.. but life has to go on!) I will keep you updated on what happens.
Well I think I have blogged enough for one day! I promise photos of the nursery will be coming soon. I just have to finish some stuff and then they will be up!

32 weeks, 8 weeks to go..
I can't believe how fast time has gone by! We have such little time and it feels like so much to do. The nursery is filled with furniture and everything is where is supposed to be I just need to arrange my last details and then photos will be added to the blog.. Its hard to believe that this journey is almost coming to an end and we will meet Matthew in just 8 weeks! Its scary and exciting all at the same time! I try to scare David by counting down the days.. I think I'm more scared.. Not about meeting Matthew but just the pain that I'll be going through. I am a pansie when it comes to pain so that scares me. Overall the pregnancy is going well. Growing by the minute. I feel like my belly is HUGE!! I can feel Matthew moving all the time. My feet and hands are pretty swollen by the end of the day. So I spent at least an hour after coming home from school with my feet up. My wedding ring will be worn around my neck starting tomorrow, since its hard to put and take off the ring..
School is okay.. I waddle around the hallways and in the classroom. I don't really bend down to pick up anything the kids usually do that. We have a field trip on March 20th to the zoo so that will be interesting. I managed to get enough chaperones that I can just sit and have them take care of the kids. So we shall see what happens.
David is doing very well. He is working, working, working! Even on his days off he seems to be at work. But overall he is doing pretty good. We try to spend as much time as his schedule allows.
Well we will see what the weeks ahead will hold. I am sure they will be tiring. Right now I am getting extremely sleepy so I am signing off! Until next time...

30th Birthday
Well I cannot believe that I have reached the age of 30.. yikes. I don't feel a year past 21! I really had a great birthday and Valentine's Day. David took the weekend off so I finally got to see and spend time with him. On Friday I came home and David had roses for me. We cleaned a bit for our guests that were coming on Sunday and somehow David threw his back out so he was hurting but insisted on playing my new Wii so we did.. I gotta admit I beat him in Bowling all the time and he did beat me in tennis which I really stink at. I did not even try the boxing.. i was too tired and it takes too much energy.
On the actual Valentine's Day we went to Ft. Meyers for a little day trip (which we love to do!) We visited the Thomas Edison/Henry Ford winter homes. It was a long drive for David who was in pain the whole time but we had a good time. It was a beautiful day and a great day trip. It was interesting and we learned alot about Edison that we did not know. The grounds were beautiful. It really was a great trip.
On Sunday we had our friends Melissa and Pete and their beautiful baby girl Terissa. We played Wii and just hung out.
On Monday we spent the day with my mom whose birthday is this week. We had lunch and dessert and decided to hit the road and test drive some cars. Little did we all know that we were going to BUY a car. So yes we ended up buying me a new car. A more reliable car now that we are expecting Matthew in May. We got a 2006 Mazda 5. Its like a minituare mini van. I really love it. So David traded in his car and now is driving the Camry but it won't be for long.. poor guy is going without the radio since Lucky (that's the Camry) does work very well. Especially the AM stations which has his talk radio.I am sure he will find something that he likes and is reliable!
Well here are some photos from our weekend.. Enjoy!

Furniture and Pregnancy
Today we finally got our master bedroom furniture! It is great not to be sleeping with our mattress on the floor! As soon as I get everything organized I will snap a photo! It should not take me long to organized I just get tired while doing so. We also got our glider rocker yesterday for the nursery and David put it together today. Hopefully I can be done with the nursery this coming week! I still have to get some things to finish decorating.
Pregnancy is going well. My belly grows everyday and Matthew moves like he is playing some sort of sport inside. Today I saw something, don't know if it was a foot or a hand but it moved across my belly and you could see it!! It was neat. It's still amazing to me that God has placed a life inside of me. It's really one of those "wow" moments for me.
As for the yucky stuff of pregnancy.. the heartburn is killer.. I hate it! And right now as I look at my feet I am amazed that they have somewhat grown into these swollen things.. I get leg cramps at night (which is fun for David!!)... my back is hurting most of the time and it feels like like I am a rotisserie chicken.. I mean I lotion the belly and then I rotate through the night from side to side. I mean really its not like I sleep.. its more like taking long naps with lots of rotating and lots of bathroom breaks! When I do finally find the right spot to sleep the alarm goes off and its time to get up and get ready for work.. yuck. I am so ready for that to be over! I look forward to weekends and day offs!
Well there is an update on life so far! I will post some pics of the master and nursery room very soon!

5th Doctor's Appointment...
Well today I had my 5th doctor's appointment. They tested my glucose so I had to drink this lovely cocktail that tasted somewhat like a fizzy kool-aid. Not bad but I could not drink or eat anything after that. I had my blood drawn one of my least favorite things and met another one of the doctor's in the practice. She was very nice. She measured my belly and I got to hear Matthew's (that's our baby's name!.. Matthew Gianni!) heartbeat. He is very active even the doctor said so. She did tell me to take Pepcid for my horrible heartburn. I woke up last night at 3am and I thought I was going to have a heart attack that is how bad my chest hurt. I started crying and was just so extremely tired finally it felt better and I fell asleep. SO in order not to have another horrible night like that the doctor suggested I take Pepcid before going to bed and before going to work. So we will see how tonight goes.
As for work things are going pretty good. Although I am ready for the transfer period which happens in March. I cannot wait to get back into Kindergarten. I miss it very much. So I am praying that there is a position open close by! Keep me in your prayers!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Wow I cannot believe that 2009 is upon us already! Its amazing how quickly the year went by and how many wonderful blessings God showered upon our lives. A small recap for David and I this year: We bought a house, experienced our house being built, got a beautiful dog (Sadie),got pregnant!! (yay we are expecting in May!!), moved into our new house, David received a promotion at work and finished his class, I unfortunately moved to first grade (but I am surviving), and we found out we are having a boy which we are naming Matthew Gianni (which means God's gift, calm believer in God's grace.. which he truly is a gift from God to us!). So there it is a very small recap on the amazing things God has been up to in our lives.
This Christmas was wonderful.. our first Christmas in our house. David and I spent it here in warm sunny Florida. Its crazy when the day of Christmas we are wearing shorts, t-shirts and tanktops while the rest of our family spent it bundled up in the snow! We did have a good morning opening presents and eating our Christmas breakfast of biscuits and gravy (yum!). We cleaned our house (really a three day job we accomplished in a few hours) and got ready for my mom and brother to spend the day with us. It was wonderful we ate lunch which mom and I cooked. She brought the sides and I actually baked a ham... yes my first ham ever and I must say it turned out pretty good! We opened presents from mom. Yes she is very excited about being a grandma because Christmas was all about Matthew. David and I got some stuff but the majority was for the baby.
Our New Year's was pretty quiet, we stayed home. David had to work so that was stinky. By the time he came home I was already in my PJ's. After a delicious pizza dinner, he played some of his new Playstation games and then fell asleep. Yes my hubby who loves to stay up late actually fell asleep before the New Year came. At 11:30 pm he was completely knocked out so me and Matthew welcomed 2009 by ourselves reading a book.. ( I know very exciting life we lead!)
New Year's Day we spent painting the nursery! All we have to do now is pick up our furniture which will be sometime this week! (Photos of this will be posted at a later time) We also hung out with our friends Pete and Melissa. They have a beautiful baby girl so it was kind of neat hanging out with them and seeing what life would be for us in just a few months. I also got to play Wii for the first time and that was pretty neat. I think I want one of those for my birthday!
On Monday I start work again and I am not really looking forward to it. I like staying home and doing things around here. But the reality of it all is that we need to work. Good thing the kids will not be there on Monday so at least I get some time to clean up and get things settled before they arrive. We will see how things go this next half of the year.
Until then enjoy the photos of our Christmas!
