Well I have been sick for the past 5 days.. It is a yucky feeling overall. It started as a mild sore throat that became strep... I missed 3 days of work.. which some would say its great "no work" but I say BOO.. I mean there are alot of things that these kids need to know for the SAT and now I only have 1 week to cram it all in! Yay for me.. also progress alerts a.k.a. report cards are coming out soon so I get to do that this Monday. This will be one heck of a week.. Anyways back to the topic... strep went away sometime Friday evening and then my lovely allergies came. Yes its great living in Florida... the heat, the wonderful beaches and who can forget the magnificient POLLEN!! Yes a threat to all of those people (like me and David) who suffer from allergies. David only has outside allergies while I suffer from both inside and out.. I have been non stop sneezing and my nose is all stopped up. A great feeling at any time.. but when you are pregnant and can't already find a good, comfortable position or way to sleep, being sick is fantastic (notice the sarcasm please). No being sick while preggo is not fun at all.. there aren't many meds you can take and its just uncomfortable. I am hoping this will all go away so I can not only regain my ability to breathe but also to hear. My head feels like its in a cloud far away....
Since I have been sick I have stopped working on the nursery which needs some finishing touches for it to be ready.. Actually everything this week has come to a halt. Cleaning and everything else went out the window once I got sick.. My house looks like a wreck.. at least to me it does, David disagrees.. but what does he know he is a boy.. they like things somewhat messy!
In other news, I had another appointment with the doctor last Tuesday. It went well. She says baby is growing great. Due date has not changed it is still May 1st. She believes the baby is facing down like he is supposed to. We listened to the heartbeat and he is doing great! When I first got to the office did mention that I was cramping through out the day at school and I was cramping right then..so of course I asked if this was normal and she had me lay down. She informed me that I was having some Braxton Hicks contractions.. could not believe it! She said for me to watch it and if it happens 6 or more time within the hour to contact the office. She also scheduled another appointment for tomorrow just to monitor me. Overall she said I needed more rest and to stay off my feet as much as possible. (That would be easy if people did not have to work.. but life has to go on!) I will keep you updated on what happens.
Well I think I have blogged enough for one day! I promise photos of the nursery will be coming soon. I just have to finish some stuff and then they will be up!
