An update...

Here is an update on the house ... we drove by last week and our parcel looked like this....

I even took a photo of David on the property. He thinks he may be standing somewhere in our living room! It could be possible.. either that or he is standing where a closet or wall will be!

By the way this is what our neighborhood looks like. This is the street we will be living in! We are so excited!

Today I took my brother to see the house site and I finally saw some work being done! The ground has been torn to pieces and it looks like some foundation might actually be going in. Now that is EXCITING!!! Here are the pics I took of today!

Hopefully we will know more these upcoming weeks. It will be easier to drive by more often once school is over for me. This coming Thursday will be my last day.. Yay! I am so looking foward to this break! David is doing well. He is still taking his management course to become a store supervisor. We are pretty busy but still enjoying every moment!

The Dessenbaugh's????

Yesterday we went to finalize the options for our new house! That was fun but very long! We didn't believe it when they said it would take around 4 hours but boy where they right. We got there around 2:00 and left at 6.. I am glad that is over with but I cannot wait to see it all in the finished house. Anyways when you come into the Home Studio they have a greeting board and this is the second time our last name has been misspelled.. so we thought we would take a photo.. its pretty funny...

Welcome!

Lately God has been teaching us to trust Him even when we lose hope. God shows us that He always has a plan and that His timing is completely perfect! We just bought a house! Not just any house but the house God had for us. For the past six+ months we have been searching for a house and it seemed like our budget just did not come close enough to the house we really liked. So we embarked on the adventure of putting offers on foreclosed homes and short sales (which are not short at all...) but every offer we put in did not work out. We obviously did not realize at the time that God had our house waiting for us.
A couple of months ago we looked at a townhome through KB Homes and although we thought it was very nice we just weren't completely sold on it. Plus we really wanted a single family home. They kept pursuing us with a different price everytime trying to get us to buy this townhome but finally we said no. A few more weeks passed by and they told us about this house in Wesley Chapel. We loved the layout but it was completely out of our price range in the meantime they were still trying to sell us the townhome and went further to tell us that we would not be able to afford a house in that neighborhood or that met the standards we were looking for in a home.
Three weeks ago they called trying to sell us an inventory home and although it was beautiful and everything we were hoping for it still was out of our price range and it would stretch us too much. We almost said yes but at the same time we did not feel peace about it. So we said no again. Later that weekend they called again letting us know that their manager was going to work something out for us. We got a fantastic deal and we bought our house. Right now its just a piece of land but come November it will be our new home! We are very excited!
