Well the house is coming along. Hopefully it will stop raining a bit so they can get finished on time! In other news David got the Senior Sales Rep position with Verizon much closer to our house! YAY! I am very happy for him and this will mean he won't be driving an hour to work and an hour back. He begins this job the beginning of August. I will begin school at the beginning of August as well so I have been trying to get all my stuff together for my classroom while packing to move at the end of August to the new house. Its pretty interesting around our house with all the boxes starting to pile up!

We have walls!!!!

I drove by the house today and I thought I was going to see just foundation but I was so surprised and happy to see walls going up!!! That was a very exciting moment. We also just received our closing date and it will be a lot sooner than expected. We thought we would be moving in sometime in late September and it looks like we will be starting the move sometime in late August early September! Yikes!! St. Augustine

First Anniversary!

I know its been a while since we have posted a blog but life has been busy! Our First Anniversary was fun. We had a lot of fun in St. Augustine. It did rain the first day we were there and the hotel is something not worth mentioning but we had a great time despite the hotel! We saw most of the tourist attractions. We even climbed the 219 steps for the lighthouse. It was a beautiful view once we got to the top. Overall it was a great anniversary and a wonderful weekend in St. Augustine.

No News Yet...

Well they were supposed to get all permits for the house and start construction this Friday but that is not happening. They have not gotten them and have no clue when they will. Hopefully it will be soon. David and i have been shopping at Lowe's for the house and have found some great things we cannot wait to put in our new house.
This weekend we will be going to St. Augustine to celebrate our first anniversary. I somehow scheduled a workshop for the actual day June 23rd so we will be celebrating this weekend. I am sure I will post photos of our weekend so stay posted!

School is out!

School is finally out! YAY! I am so happy. I actually get to spend some time with David which is good. Another bit of good news for me is that I passed my math test!!! I will be fully certified to teach as soon as the official papers arrive. That is a load off my shoulders! It will be fun not seeing a classroom for the next 2 months but I will be busy taking workshops and working on my online ESOL course. Not bad though. On the house front we have a meeting with the builders this Thursday! I'll keep you updated.

An update...

Here is an update on the house ... we drove by last week and our parcel looked like this....

I even took a photo of David on the property. He thinks he may be standing somewhere in our living room! It could be possible.. either that or he is standing where a closet or wall will be!

By the way this is what our neighborhood looks like. This is the street we will be living in! We are so excited!

Today I took my brother to see the house site and I finally saw some work being done! The ground has been torn to pieces and it looks like some foundation might actually be going in. Now that is EXCITING!!! Here are the pics I took of today!

Hopefully we will know more these upcoming weeks. It will be easier to drive by more often once school is over for me. This coming Thursday will be my last day.. Yay! I am so looking foward to this break! David is doing well. He is still taking his management course to become a store supervisor. We are pretty busy but still enjoying every moment!
